If they need to be home alone, returning at lunchtime to let them out and provide some attention can help. Leaving the TV or radio on can also alleviate their anxiety.

Golden Retrievers have a water-repellent double coat that allows them to tolerate both cold and warm weather. While they enjoy cold weather, they should be kept indoors on hot or humid days to prevent overheating. Care should be taken when exercising them in the heat.
