Shining Start Puppy Program – $10,485
The Shining Star Puppy Program is designed to elevate your puppy’s training from foundational skills to real-world applications over the course of Weeks 9 to 12. This phase focuses on reinforcing what your puppy has learned while introducing them to new, diverse environments where they can practice their skills amidst increasing distractions. As your puppy matures, we tailor the training to meet your specific needs and preferences, ensuring a customized experience that fits seamlessly into your daily life.
During this block, the training shifts from a controlled setting to more dynamic situations. This means practicing in various locations where external factors-such as people, animals, and sounds-may arise, helping your puppy learn to differentiate between appropriate and inappropriate responses. For example, they will encountering scenarios like a child running up to greet them or a cat crossing their path. By managing these interactions carefully, we set your puppy up for success, enabling them to respond confidently and appropriately. Throughout this program, we remain committed to fostering a positive, enriching experience for both you and your puppy, ensuring they become a well-rounded, socialized member of your family.
BLOCK 3 Outline:
Mastering Advanced Commands & Ensuring Consistency
In Weeks 9 to 12, your puppy’s training takes on a new level of complexity while building on the foundation established in the previous weeks. We continue reinforcing key commands like SIT, DOWN, COME, and STAY, all while introducing more challenging, real-world scenarios. This phase focuses on increasing your puppy’s reliability and responsiveness in dynamic environments where distractions are more frequent and varied.
Socialization remains a core element during this phase. Your puppy will experience diverse situations, including new people, animals, and environments, helping them learn to respond confidently and appropriately. By the end of this phase, your puppy will be well-equipped to handle the complexities of the family life, demonstrating calm focus, adaptability, and good manners.
Focus & Commands:
Refinement of all commands by reducing reliance on treats and increasing the level of difficulty.
Progression of Focus: Enhancing your puppy’s ability to maintain attention amidst distractions.
SIT: Improved responsiveness with longer holds and increased distractions.
DOWN: Consistent compliance in various settings, building duration and reliability.
Leash Walking: Smoother, more controlled walking with reduced pulling and better responsiveness to cues.
COME: Strengthening recall even with distractions or in open spaces.
LEAVE IT: Reinforcing the ability to disengage from tempting items.
SAY HI/ TOUCH: Encouraging appropriate social interactions, with polite greetings and controlled behavior.
STAY: Developing longer stays, regardless of distractions, for improved focus and control.
Manners:
Minimizing opportunities for mistakes: Supervision and structure to reduce unwanted behaviors.
Rewarding good choices: Consistent positive reinforcement for desirable actions.
Ignoring bad choices: Managing mistakes without reinforcement, focusing on encouraging the right behavior.
Crate Training
8 hours of quiet time: Overnight crate stays without barking or accidents.
Quiet during nap times: Building independence and calmness in the crate during the day.
Adapting to client’s schedule: Adjusting crate routines to better align with the family’s needs

Obedience Foundations
Reliable housebreaking: Your puppy will learn to signal their need to go outside and maintain a schedule that reflects the client’s routine.
Accident-free living: Continued reinforcement of potty training, aiming for reliability.
House Training
Continue staying ahead of your puppy’s potty needs while they are loose, minimizing accidents.
By Week 6, your puppy should be consistently signaling when they need to go outside.
Personality & Temperament
Ongoing socialization: Expanding your puppy’s exposure to different people, animals, and environments.
New locations: Gradually introducing your puppy to different environments, such as parks, cityscapes, and unfamiliar homes.
Diverse experiences: Encountering new sights, sounds, surfaces, and scenarios like city noises, moving vehicles, or loud sounds.
Testing boundaries: Expect some natural limit-testing as your puppy matures, which is handled through structured training.
Additional Support
Weekly Health Checks: Monitoring your puppy’s health, ensuring they remain in good condition throughout training.
Weekly Video Updates: Regular progress updates, keeping you informed about your puppy’s development.
24/7 care: Your puppy will receive constant supervision and attention, staying in trainers’ homes for around-the-clock support.

In Block 3 of the Shining Star Puppy Program, we elevate your puppy’s training from foundational skills to real-world applications, focusing on preparing them for more complex and dynamic situations. This phase is designed to meet the specific needs of your household, with the training shifting to accommodate your daily routine, ensuring a customized experience for both you and your puppy.
Throughout Weeks 9 and 10, the focus will be on refining essential obedience commands, including “SIT,” “DOWN,” “COME,” “LEAVE IT,” and “TOUCH.” We will introduce the “STAY” command to enhance your puppy’s ability to maintain focus and composure in increasingly challenging environments. The goal during this phase is to expand on their skills while reinforcing good manners, particularly during leash walks and social interactions.
As we progress into Weeks 11 and 12, your puppy will be exposed to a variety of new experiences, such as navigating different environments, encountering various people and animals, and adjusting to distractions like transportation and city noises. These exposures will ensure your puppy develops confidence and adaptability in diverse real-world settings. Potty training and crate training will continue, with an emphasis on maintaining consistency and adapting the schedule to mirror your household’s routine.
By the end of Block 3, your puppy will have a solid foundation of obedience and social skills, allowing them to confidently handle new experiences and environments. This phase ensures that your puppy is well-prepared for daily life, making them a joy to be around and setting them up for continued success in future training blocks.
